Every Christmas Vodafone loves to share the joy with their loyal customers. In 2019, the internal social team created a new twist to the 12 days of Christmas that required our help!

THE CLIENT BRIEF:

Vodafone wanted to drive loyalty and celebrate Christmas with its customers by creating their very own version of the 12 days of Christmas.

THE IDEA:

Santa had put on his “out of office” to take a well-deserved break in a mystery destination and asked Vodafone to distribute the Christmas presents on his behalf. Each day, Vodafone released a new video of Santa from his mystery location, telling customers what they were in to win.

The Vodafone Rewards team and Rapport worked to secure 12 super desirable prizes, through our network of partners and leveraging Vodafone’s sponsorships.

As well as the 12 prizes, we were tasked with generating 12 special offers – helping to bring the cost of Christmas down for all Vodafone customers and drive partner sales.

The brief was to build the campaign within the Vodafone Rewards site and to drive repeat engagement across each of the 12 days by only having the competitions available for 24 hours.

THE PARTNER OBJECTIVES:

The affiliation with a top New Zealand brand, brand exposure, reaching new customers and the opportunity to drive sales.

THE RESULTS:

Over the campaign period there were more than 100,000 entries to win prizes. There were over 100 lucky wins from the prize pool worth thousands.  Rapport drew the winners, contacted them (it was so nice playing Santa!) and sent out the prizes in time for Christmas.
