One New Zealand and Bookme joined forces to create an unforgettable tropical flyaway. The pair have an ongoing partnership, delivering exclusive Bookme discounts on adventure and dining experiences to One NZ customers. With a history of creating next-level campaigns to showcase their offerings…

The Brief:

To promote Bookme’s adventure and experience offerings in Cairns and Port Douglas, while highlighting the exclusive offers One New Zealand customers can get through One NZ Rewards.

The Idea:

One NZ and Bookme join forces once again to create an unforgettable tropical flyaway. One NZ Rewards users love travel and Bookme wanted to promote their travel and experience offers.

Promoted through One NZ’s channels including an EDM, the My One NZ App, and both paid and organic socials, One NZ’s customers were given the chance to enter through One NZ Rewards, simply for being a One NZ customer.

We also used Bookme’s owned channels to further promote this competition. The $12.5k prize package included a trip for four to the Cairns and Port Douglas with return flights, 5 nights’ accommodation, four epic adventure activities, a $1,000 Bookme voucher and One NZ provided an additional $3,000 spending money and travel insurance.

The Partner Objectives:

One NZ wanted to connect their customers with an awesome opportunity to take a break,connect with one another and have a holiday this winter, whilst Bookme wanted to promote their travel and experience offers in North Queensland.

The Results:

  • The second-highest entries ever received for a One NZ Rewards competition.
  • The One NZ EDM far surpassed the average industry open rate and click-through rate.
  • One NZ’s retargeted paid social campaign drove strong traffic to the Rewards site, making the CPC much lower than the expected benchmark.
  • For Bookme, the real bonus of the campaign was that One NZ customer engagement and brand awareness of the Bookme always-on offers significantly increased, with a 31% increase in activity compared to previous months.
  • 1 very happy customer!
